Come on spring...we're waiting!

This was from last week when the snow was almost gone...I don't know what it is about this picture, but it just makes me happy.  They are such good girls!  (and our trip outside ended just about as quickly as it began when one of them fell into a puddle of water two inches deep...)

I think my exact words were, "Everyone look up here".  Those are my odds: 1 out of 4.

It has taken me way too long to realize that if their hands are busy, then they are not getting into trouble.  Bring on the paint/play-do/coloring/cooking/etc...

I have been so blessed this month to be able to stay home with the girls.  They are amazing!

Blizzard of 2011

This much dreaded blizzard came in February this year.  I can't tell you how many inches we got in a 12 hour period because it was so cold that it drifted a ton.  We had drifts that were 3.5 feet tall and others that were only 12 inches deep.  Scott got called in (at 6:56am) to work a double because they knew he lived close.  It took him 15 minutes to drive less than two miles.  I snow blowed three times during the day and took lots of pictures:

We got up and bathed and then got back into clean p.j.s! 

This was a spot on our driveway where the drift was higher than the snow blower's 'blower thingy'.

The drift to the left of Paitin's head is almost as tall as she is!
